Terri David, Founder + Co-President + Chief Content Developer + Brand Identity
Terri heads up all of content development for Renegade Tinkering Club, including curriculum, course planning, project books, and design, and has written a fictional book that's under review by publishers. Terri, a lifelong maker of things and user of power tools, moved to San Francisco in 1996 to pursue a career merging art, technology, and storytelling in the field of digital animation. Throughout her career, she worked as character animator, lead animator, art director, creator, writer, wrangler, and manager as one of the few women in her industry. When her brilliant daughter refused a Lego summer camp because "all the boys make fun of her," and remembering her own experiences as a young girl actively discouraged from pursuing her love of programming, she knew there had to be a way to be the change she wanted to see in the world. Partnering with her friend Vicky and armed with an undying love of Making and experience as a woman in a male-dominated career, Terri teamed up to create the Renegade Girls Tinkering Club.

Vicky Keston, Founder + Co-President + Chief Operations + Business Development
Vicky heads up operations and business, which includes everything needed to make our daily classes happen, including hiring, scheduling, obtaining supplies for camps, site selection, partnering with schools, marketing and bill paying. Vicky, who always loved math and science, was first frustrated when her father taught only her brother how to build things. Vicky moved to the Bay Area in 1989 after earning a BS with Honors in Mechanical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon. She worked for GE in the field of nuclear power for five years before earning her MBA from Stanford University and switching to biotechnology, where she worked with various startups and at Genentech for 8 years. Vicky then returned to her roots in engineering when she co-founded Gooseling and taught herself to program video game apps for kids while working with friend Terri. One morning play date at the Exploratorium, Vicky’s son took over the marble run building from Terri’s daughter, which inspired Vicky to partner with Terri to make math and engineering fun and accessible to girls. Vicky credits her son with pushing for a coed program to teach boys to include girls in their tinkering.

She went on to create projects for Wearable Tinkering and Fairy Tale Engineering. She is currently developing Renegade Physics. Briony lives in San Francisco with her husband and 5 year old daughter.
