Renegade Summer Camp 2022


Girls only and Coed STEM camps with hands-on projects to rising 1st-5th graders. Join us for our 7th summer of fun! From the moment our club members arrive, they are surrounded by successful, smart, trailblazing role models who encourage them to pursue their love of science, exploration and building. We create a nurturing environment that focuses on building community with plenty of recess time for active bodies. Learn more about our day.

My not-usually-very-open-minded kindergartner LOVES Renegade Tinkering Camp! He goes weekly after school and loves it so much we signed up for spring break and summer camp. Creature Workshop
​​​Rising 1st-6th Grade

Connect with your inner Dr Frankenstein and create LIFE! Okay, maybe not ACTUAL life, but kids love creatures,both real and imaginary. Journey with the Renegades to investigate biology, biomimicry, armatures, gears, linkages, shapes, connections, mass and volume, materials properties, and lots of other STEM concepts (as well as their creativity and imaginations) by building their own tiny creatures in lots of different ways.

Science of Magic
​​​Rising 1st-6th Grade

Enchanted by Harry Potter? Spellbound by Wings of Fire or Percy Jackson and other Demigods? Always wanted your own dragon? Renegades tinker up magic to amaze their friends. Engineer magical devices and wands. Experiment with potions. Create magical creatures for care and keeping. Whether training as a witch, wizard, or magician, conjurors invent and practice a whole new bag of tricks.

Renegade Chemistry
​​​Rising 1st-6th Grade

Chemistry is the science that studies the foundations of our world. Investigating substances and the ways in which they interact, combine, and change can be magical. Through lots of accessible hands-on projects and creations, kids will explore this wonderfully fun, surprising, and engaging science, Renegade style. Fizzle, ooze, and transform with us this summer.

COVID Precautions

Renegade Girls will require all campers and staff to be fully vaccinated before camp. Renegade additionally follows all standards as amended by the San Francisco Department of Health. All parents must agree to follow the camp rules when they register.

Summer Together & Need-Based Financial Aid

​Apply here for need-based camperships. We participate in Summer Together and have set aside space for those requiring financial assistance.

​CANCELLATION POLICY
​We hope you don't have to cancel! Buying early guarantees your spot and allows us to commit work for our awesome counselors.
  • If we or the city cancels camp for unforeseen circumstances, Renegade will offer a refund to all campers.
  • Cancellations before April 30th are refunded minus a $50 fee.
  • Beginning May 1st, cancellations are not refundable, but you may transfer to another session if there is space, or transfer the session to a friend who fits the registration criteria.
  • If your child has special needs, please reach out before registering so that we can jointly decide upon a plan.
