Girls only and Coed STEM camps with hands-on projects to rising 1st-5th graders. Join us for our 8th summer of fun! From the moment our club members arrive, they are surrounded by successful, smart, trailblazing role models who encourage them to pursue their love of science, exploration and building. We create a nurturing environment that focuses on building community with plenty of recess time for active bodies. Learn more about our day.

Toymakers
Rising 1st-5th Graders

Playing with your STEAM.  Imaginations run wild as kids make toys, then play with them! From moldable sand to foosball to creating and sharing their own board games complete with rules and goals, campers will discover what makes a toy fun, and use critical thinking to evaluate what “fun” means. Compare different kinds of play, does everyone have the same taste in toys? Find out! Kids explore shape, structure, and design in this class focusing on the science behind toys.​ 

Fairy Tale Engineering​

Engineering Solutions One Story at a Time!  Perfect for children who love building and creative thinking. Children explore simple machines, engineering design, and problem solving. We work individually and in teams, create and build, and find solutions to fairy tale problems that don’t rely on a Prince or Fairy Godmother but on our campers themselves.

Back in the day before iPads, before the words "maker" and "tinkering" became a thing, kids engaged in all sorts of building, adventuring, and making projects that they didn't even know were chalk full of rich STEM skills practice. They just knew it was fun. We're going to revisit time-tested engineering ideas. Our projects will provide the tinkering, making and STEM enrichment the old fashioned way - through fun and hard work, kid motivated, deceptively educational.

Exercise Your STEM​
Enjoy a morning of hiking in beautiful San Francisco parks, followed by an afternoon of tinkering projects. This camp is ideal for the active child who loves a combination of movement and making.

Worried About Layoffs?

Renegade Girls has huge empathy for parents worried about their jobs. We are offering a new option to allow camp cancellation within seven days of a layoff notice. Simply send a copy of the notice to us, and you can cancel camp for no fee. This option costs $50. Layoff must occur after you've registered, and you must notify us at least seven days before camp starts, and no more than seven days of your layoff notice. 

Summer Together & Need-Based Financial Aid

Renegade Girls believes all children should be able to attend camp regardless of financial means.​

We partner with Summer Together to support free summer camp for low income children. We have filled up this program but are taking a waitlist in case of cancellations. Please fill out this form if you believe you qualify.

For campers who do not qualify for Summer Together but cannot afford camp, Renegade Girls has a sliding scale program. Please fill out this Sliding Scale Form to request camp

​CANCELLATION POLICY
​We hope you don't have to cancel! Buying early guarantees your spot and allows us to commit work for our awesome counselors.
  • If we or the city cancels camp for unforeseen circumstances, Renegade will offer a refund to all campers.
  • Cancellations before March 30th are refunded minus the 4% processing fee charged by our provider.
  • Beginning April 1st, cancellations are not refundable, but you may transfer to another session if there is space, or transfer the session to a friend who fits the registration criteria.
  • If your child has special needs, please reach out before registering so that we can jointly decide upon a plan.
